Kavan’s Role at Denaploy
Kavan is the ringleader on all things graphical, user experience and social network based at Denaploy. This role encompasses everything from designing brands & logos, websites, print marketing to thinking through how best to structure a website/software application for usability, as well as social networking ideas, implementation and day-to-day use for a range of in-house and client projects.
Kavan is heavily involved in the day-to-day running of in-house project Treasure Island Toys, which was shortlisted for ‘Online Toy Retailer of the Year 2009’ by the British Toy and Hobby association against Amazon, Argos, Littlewoods Direct and The Entertainer, after only 18 months of being created.
About
Outside of Denaploy, Kavan’s main passion is music. Kavan loves everything from Pop and Rock to Death Metal, Drum n Bass, Hip-Hop, Opera, and everything in between.
Kavan plays guitar for a local metal band, has toured the UK and parts of Europe aswell as having 2 EP’s released on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3 etc… as well as CD releases.
Kavan also loves art and film, with Banksy, Sylvia Ji and Eelus being his favourite artists and the awe-inspiring Quentin Tarantino as his film idol.
Prior to Denaploy
Prior to Denaploy, Kavan went to the University of Brighton, and Sussex Downs College in Lewes to study Multimedia, which spurred his love for graphic design.
He also studied Engineering at college, but after 2 years and getting a qualification, swapped the grease and metal tools for a laptop and Photoshop.
Kavan’s Qualifications
2:1 BA (Hons) Multimedia from the University of Brighton.
Higher National Diploma (straight Merits) from the University of Brighton.
National Diploma in Engineering from Sussex Downs College, Lewes.
11 A-C grade GCSE’s from Longhill High School, Rottingdean, Brighton.
