The Gorilla Organization is a UK based charity raising awareness and funds in order to save the last 700 mountain gorillas left in the wild.

Formed in memory of scientist and gorilla conservationist Dian Fossey, who the hugely successful 1980's movie 'Gorillas in the Mist' was based on, the charity are raising more money each year through their website, aswell as organising fundraising events such as 'The Great Gorilla Run', where thousands of people dress up in gorilla suits and run around London and San Francisco one day a year.

The Gorilla Organization approached Denaploy to create their online presence for the Gorilla Organization website.

Technical
This project was slightly different to most of our web projects as The Gorillas Organization have their own in-house graphic designer who had designed the website for them.  The task for us was to implement it to his exact specification.

The website has a full CMS running throughout the website which means that The Gorilla Organization can update the website themselves whenever they please.

The site is database driven and has an eCommerce facility allowing visitors to purchase products, adopt a gorilla and make various donations.

It has social networking integration to both Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube.

It is quite a large and comprehensive website and we are very peased with it's outcome.  We hope that it can help make a difference to how they run their online presence and help them raise awareness and funds to protect the remaining mountain gorillas.
