Which infrastructure development do you think would add more value to your life/ business?
• A high speed rail link between London and Birmingham to be extended to Scotland in due course which will benefit a few people cut their travel time by 20 mins ,
OR
• Extend optic fibre cabling to 95% of homes and businesses so we can have genuine high speed broadband of the calibre that Korea is already building, enabling high quality video conferencing from your desktop, application sharing, and full screen video.
The costs are roughly the same.
If we are going to invest £60bn in the UK infrastructure, I think it is a no brainer that we should apply it to the digital communications future not the historic infrastructure that made the Victorians great.
Tell your MPs (of all parties) before they make a stupid mistake.
